Classes, Ivan, and Hair

Only have one class today. Yeah, after yesterday it was a big relief. I got up for PT where we did an abs workout and a two mile run, then came back to my room. Usually I shower in the locker rooms of Carmichael Gymnasium because I don’t have enough time to make it all the way back to my room, shower, and go all the way to my first class. So, I chose the next best route which has worked well for me thus far. Today however, I moseyed on back to my room, took a nice hot shower, and then got ready for the day. I collected all my books and assorted other junk and began a slow, easy walk over to the CTR. I got there and tidied up the room as the Chaplains have clean up duties in there this week. Then I sat down and began my readings and other homework. I have noticed one thing that drives me crazy though; there is no wireless in that room. I think I am going to buy a router when I go home next and bring it back with me to put in there. Anyway, I got all my reading done and went and got some lunch. Ate with some people I met in Wolves Den, and then walked around for a while. Eventually I went back to the CTR, finished my homework and went to my one class. What a day huh? The tropical storm formally known as Hurricane Ivan is headed right to us. We are forecasted for tons of rain, a few winds, and generally a miserable weekend. Welcome to NC State! I got in trouble for my hair being too long, so I cut it. I borrowed clippers and cut it shorter than it ever has been before. Still getting used to this new style, so there will be more to come.

Lab

Today is a rough day for me. I have six classes on Wednesdays. Yes, that is six. Some people are taking six classes TOTAL. No sir, that is not for me. I did make a scheduling mistake though. I spread all of my classes out a little bit. This was not necessarily my fault. A lot of the times I wanted were already full or had a waitlist on them. I decided to forego waiting for a class a class that I may not get, suck it up, and go to classes at 8.05 every day. I am not saying this is bad, but as far away as I live from the classrooms, I do not have enough time to go back to my room. In my AFROTC uniform, this is not so nice. I do look sharp though! I got named the Flight Commander for the Charlie Chaplains. (Chaplains uup!) So far, this semester is really great. No teachers that are TOO terrible, PT is not so bad, and I have made a bunch of friends through the AFROTC. The POCs and FTPs are nice enough to the GMCs and really look out for them at PT making sure the TLAs don’t get the best of them.
