Church, lunch, and then…

I went to church this morning. Service was wonderful. The pastor’s lesson was part of a series on marriage and its implications. As I was walking back, it hit me. I was in a campus with roughly 29,999 other kids. As I walked to and from church, lunch and my room, I passed FOUR of these other students. This was at 10.00 and 12.45 that I was walking around. WHERE IS EVERYONE? I was really disconcerted as I walked across a Brickyard that was deserted. Where were the hundreds of other kids? Where were all the fundraising people? Where were all the people with tents that are selling posters, rugs and jewelry? In a campus this large, it is hard to believe you can walk for twenty solid minutes and only meet four people. My goodness, what is everyone doing? I can understand that at 10.00, they are asleep; at close to one, they have no excuse. Not everyone is a morning person, and I more than anyone know that. BUT COME ON!! There are so many things that you can get involved with on the weekends. Intramural sports, club sports, study groups, running groups, yoga classes, and underwater basket weaving…. The list goes on and on. So, what I am trying to say is, “GET OUT OF BED YOU LAZY, LAZY PEOPLE!”

Cards

Today I got together with a group of Weddingtonites to kinda catch up and play a few card games. I am sure glad that we did that. I really enjoyed myself. I got to have some fun while hanging out with a few people who had stories just as funny or moreso than myown. Tomorrow is church, and I am excited to go! This is a very student oriented church (seeing as how it is on campus, there are not a lot of other options) that really has it going on. They know exactly what is going on with us college kids and really try to make their lessons and teachings mirror that. I was shown a really cool website today. Try it out. With it you can enter any address and it will show you a satellite picture of the area. I looked at my house and was amazed at how many trees were in the neighborhood as compared to some of the other houses that I looked up. Anyway, big day tomorrow, short post today.
