Inward Dives

We started inward dives today. For those of you unsure what an inward dive is, don’t worry about it. Some people do not mind hurling themselves off a board, then attempting to come back at it. I, however, because of my incredible upbringing, get a chill anytime I am throwing my self back at a hard object that I am trying hard to jump away from. In actuality, it is hard to do an inverse and come back and hit the board. The bending of the board really throws you out a lot more than it seems. I just get a little nervous that I am going to bash my head on the board as it comes back up. I haven’t gotten injured yet, other than hitting my legs on the water if I lean into a headfirst entry too far. I love the class though, so I just keep doing what I am told and hoping nothing bad happens. Not a lot of homework this weekend. I should be able to finish most of it in a fairly short amount of time. I spent a lot of time today talking with a little old man in charge of the math department. Apparently I do not have adequate permission to be in the Calculus class I am in at the moment, though I was told at orientation that what I have more than qualifies me for the class. Shrek 2 is coming to the Witherspoon Theatre soon, so I am going to try to get a ticket when they become available. I have heard from young and not so young people alike that it is a wonderful movie. I shall be the final judge of that.
