The 8th of September

I finally made the switch. I have fully moved all my notes from Word to OneNote. For those of you less familiar with the Office 2003 suite of software, let me tell you, buying a copy of OneNote is WELL worth the price if you are going to be taking notes at anytime on your computer. NC State gave out free copies at a seminar, so I skeptically picked it up and took it back to my room. Within minutes, I was hooked; within a few more, I was stumped. No save button?!?! Well, is all this work to go to waste? That is the beauty of this program. It modifies the file continuously as you import files and type, so you never have to worry about losing three hours worth of notes because you forgot to set AutoSave or your battery dies (Neither of these is a problem for me, AutoSave is set to 10 minutes, and I get up to 10.00 hours of battery life if Wi-Fi is off). Regardless, this is a blessing to the mobile student or professional. You can insert audio clips, video clips, drawings, pictures, words, and a host of other media. All your notes are saved in one file, no more folders of 50 separate Word documents from every day of class. I love it and refuse…absolutely REFUSE to venture into the Word abyss to take notes again.
