For the first time in three weeks, I slept in, ate late, and didn’t have to worry about homework and the like for a few hours. I still did a little homework this morning, but nothing too much. Home is … just how I left it. Nothing has changed which was a relief. My parents seemed oddly eager to get me to college, so I was worried they had rented my room out or were turning it into a huge gaming room or something. No arcade games yet, so it may just be a while. Seriousness aside (who needs it anyway?), my parents are going to keep my brother’s and my room the same until we are out of the house for good. It is nice to be able to go relax and be removed from the college scene for a few days, though I do love being at school. Short post today, I have a whole lot more of nothing to do!

Diving was great today! It is really funny because my instructor was a NC State diving coach for a long while. So, when he is telling us about the next dive that we are going to do, he does so in relaxed, kind of vague terms. “You know, you just make sure you turn over two times in the air.” For all of us non-flexible non-divers, these teaching conditions are a bit hazy. He is the nicest man, but he needs to come up with a more comprehensive way of teaching us how to do the complex diving maneuvers. I am headed home this weekend to see my mother and sister. It is odd that, after spending four years in a school system where you had been in school almost a month before the first break, our first vacation comes after only thirteen days of classes. It almost was too soon. ALMOST being the operative word. I am looking forward to going home to see everyone at church and what not, and especially to be able to spend a little time with my family.
